A Quick Look at Some of the Shoots from 2024

We are already a few days into 2025, so now is a good moment to take a quick look back at last year and highlight some shoots that have been particularly memorable. Last year was varied — staff portraits, brand photography, reference photography, product photography, event photography and video production. Here are nine highlights from the past year:

1. In February, I photographed recruitment images for Osuuskauppa Arina for their HR communications and employer marketing, covering the hospitality and specialty retail sectors. The shoots took place at various locations in Kauppakeskus Valkea shopping centre and at the Limingantulli restaurant quarter. In 2023, I had photographed similar images for their grocery retail, S-Pankki and ABC station needs.
2. In April, I shot brand and staff photos for Verkkoasema at their offices. The client had their own shot plan, and we refined the requirements before the shoot day. The feedback was positive: "Petteri was a truly professional photographer. The atmosphere was relaxed and Petteri gave great guidance to capture natural and genuine images. The best part was the relaxed atmosphere and the high-quality images that turned out exactly like us."
3. At the end of May, I produced a reference video and reference photos for Nordautomation Oy at Junnikkala Sawmill in Oulu. The shoot focused on the log sorting system in operation.
4. In June, I documented the opening ceremony of the Murtomäki wind farm in Pyhäjärvi on commission from OX2, capturing both video and photographs. The weather on the opening day was sunny.
5. In June, I photographed portraits and drone images as well as video of the office building at Talenom's Oulu branch. Due to poor weather, the drone shoot was rescheduled to another day.
6. In June, I shot brand and illustration images for Palvelumuotoilu Palo, featuring various setups at their office. I had previously produced portrait and brand photography for them.
7. In July, I had the opportunity to head out to the Bothnian Bay to document marine biologist Essi Keskinen and her team at work for Loimu ry. The shoot was carried out in collaboration with journalist Satu Räsänen. The weather was on our side, and it is always wonderful to get out on the sea.
8. In August, I filmed video footage and photographed at the Hailuoto fixed link construction site for the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. I also got to shoot from the sea, which was a welcome relief on a hot day.
9. In September, I photographed event images at the COTER 2024 conference in Oulu over three days, commissioned by the City of Oulu. The conference covered topics including European regional cooperation and cohesion policy.
