Brand photographer in Oulu and Northern Finland
I have been producing brand photography for companies in Oulu and Northern Finland for several years. I know the area's diverse shooting environments — from urban cityscapes to industrial settings and nature locations. Studio sessions take place at my studio in Maikkula, Oulu. Brand shoots are also available elsewhere in Finland — in that case, travel and accommodation costs are added.

Frequently asked questions about brand photography
What does brand photography cost?
The price comes from the scope of the shoot: how many locations and work situations we cover and how many finished images you order. There is no fixed list price, because two brand shoots are rarely the same size. Tell me briefly what you have in mind and you get a quote at no cost.
- Retouching: Colour correction, light and shadow adjustment and finishing are included, while heavier work such as background replacement affects the pricing.
- Travel: Outside Oulu, travel and accommodation costs are added to the price.
What can you use the brand photos for?
The images are for your company's own marketing and communications: website, social media, brochures, trade fairs and recruitment. The licence runs indefinitely, applies worldwide and is not exclusive. Under Finnish law the copyright stays with me, so what you get is a licence to use the images.
- Print advertising: Paid print advertising is agreed separately.
- Transferring rights: The licence is not transferable to a third party, and reselling or transferring rights requires a separate agreement.
- Editorial use: In editorial use the credit line on the image is Kuva: Petteri Löppönen.
- Portfolio use: I may show the images in my own portfolio.
When are the photos delivered?
Edited images arrive as a download link, usually within a week of the shoot. If you are in a hurry, we can agree on a faster delivery in advance.
- File formats: Images come as JPEG both optimised for web use (sRGB) and in high resolution (AdobeRGB).
- Video: If the shoot day includes video, it comes as MP4 in Full HD or 4K. The video schedule is agreed at the quote stage, because editing time follows the amount of material.
How many images does a brand shoot produce?
A broader brand shoot produces tens to hundreds of images, depending on how many locations and work situations we cover. The exact number is agreed before the shoot so you know what you are ordering. When the subject is one person, it is usually personal brand photography, where the count is typically 5 to 15 images.
Is the shoot at your premises or in the studio?
Most often at your own premises, because brand photos need real work situations rather than an empty backdrop. One day covers several spaces or workstations, and I bring lights and a backdrop along when a controlled background is needed. The studio in Maikkula, Oulu is the option when the background is all the picture needs.
- Locations: We agree in advance which spaces and work situations are covered and in what order the day runs.
- Preparation: You get instructions before the shoot day: agree on what people wear and tidy the spaces that end up in the frame.
