- It is not always possible for every member of staff to be photographed on the shoot day. People fall ill, or schedules simply do not work out for everyone. In such cases, individuals can come to my studio at a time that suits them, so that we can get a great photo of everyone for the website.

Frequently asked questions about staff photography
What does a staff photo shoot cost?
The price comes from where the shoot happens, how many people are photographed and how many finished photos each person needs. The price section on this page shows the starting points. For a larger group or an unusual schedule, ask for a quote; the first conversation and the quote are both free.
- Location: A shoot at your own premises and a shoot at the studio are priced differently.
- Number of photos: A staff shoot usually delivers one to three photos per person, and we agree the number before the shoot day.
- Travel: Outside Oulu, travel and accommodation costs are added to the price.
- Heavier retouching: Basic editing is included, while heavier work such as a background swap or detailed retouching affects the price.
How much of the workday does the shoot take?
Reserve about 10 to 15 minutes per person. The shooting order is set in advance, so people come in one at a time instead of queuing in the corridor. I build the schedule so the shoot does not interrupt normal work.
Are staff photographed at your office or at the studio?
Both work. At your own premises the photos get a real working environment, and I set up portable studio lights and backdrops in a meeting room, for example. The other option is my studio in Maikkula, and you can combine the two in one shoot.
How should your staff prepare for the shoot day?
What people wear and how tidy the spaces are make the biggest difference. You get the preparation instructions before the shoot day, so nobody has to guess.
- What to wear: Leave out small checks and busy patterns, because they produce moiré in the image.
- Brand colours: Neutral tones that match your brand colours keep the whole set consistent.
- Clearing the space: Clear loose clutter and confidential papers from desks and shared spaces before I arrive.
When are the photos delivered and in what format?
Edited photos arrive typically within a week of the shoot, as a download link. If you are in a hurry, I can speed the delivery up when we agree on it in advance.
- File format: Photos come as JPEG, both optimised for web use (sRGB) and in high resolution (AdobeRGB).
- Editing: Colour correction, light and shadow adjustment and finishing are done before delivery and included in the price.
How can you use the finished photos?
You can use the photos in your own marketing and communications: website, social media, brochures, trade fairs and recruitment. The licence runs indefinitely and worldwide, with no expiry date. Under Finnish copyright law the copyright stays with me, so you get a licence to use the images, not the copyright itself.
- Not exclusive: The licence is not exclusive, and I can use the images in my own portfolio.
- Transfer by agreement: The licence is not transferable to a third party, and reselling or transferring the rights needs a separate agreement.
- Paid print ads: Paid print advertising is agreed separately.
