Finland 100 Celebration at Oulu Hall

Finland's national centenary celebration was held in Oulu on 2 December 2017. The event was hosted by the Chairman of the Finland 100 Delegation, Prime Minister Juha Sipilä, and the Chairman of the Oulu City Council, Juha Hänninen. Among the 1,200 guests were contributors to the centenary year from all across Finland. The Finland 100 celebration was broadcast live on Yle TV 1 and Yle Areena around the world. I had the pleasure and honour of photographing the event for the Prime Minister's Office, whose communications team shared the images across various channels throughout the evening. Prime Minister Juha Sipilä opened the event, and President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö and Mrs Jenni Haukio graced the celebration with their presence.
