Spliethoff – Baltic Department in collaboration with the Stora Enso Oulu mill.

Project objective

To document the Dutch vessel Sampogracht's first visit to Oulu and the first loading of products from the new cardboard machine — and to produce visual material for Spliethoff's and Stora Enso's internal communications and marketing.

Solution

A two half-day production on Midsummer Day Saturday morning and the following Monday.

Licensed drone photography: aerial stills and video of the vessel's approach, the port area and the loading process.

Ground camera alongside the drone: quayside operations, cargo loading.

Close coordination with the port, Spliethoff and the ship's captain — real-time AIS schedule updates.

Contingency plan in place to postpone production to the next port call in case of poor weather — fortunately, conditions were favourable for the shoot.
