Industrial Photography in Oulu region
Professional imagery from demanding environments
Industrial photography requires special expertise and experience in demanding environments. I photograph in factories, production lines, construction sites, and other industrial settings while following all safety regulations.
Industrial images are perfect for annual reports, websites, brochures, and internal communications.
Safety always comes first
Photographing in industrial environments demands more than technical skill. I understand the safety requirements of industrial settings and follow them without exception. I use the required personal protective equipment and comply with each facility's or site's safety protocols. Before the shoot day, I complete the site safety induction and we agree together on where and how it is safe to photograph.
Years of experience in demanding locations mean I know how to move through production environments without disrupting processes or compromising anyone's safety. I know how to capture compelling images even when movement is restricted by safety zones, noise levels or cleanroom requirements.
How an industrial photo shoot works
Industrial photography requires more thorough advance planning than a standard corporate shoot. Every site is different, and I plan each session accordingly.
Site assessment — I identify the specific characteristics, safety requirements and logistics of the location. When needed, I visit the site beforehand to evaluate lighting conditions and the best angles.
Shot plan — I create a detailed shot plan that accounts for production schedules, shift changes and any planned downtime. This ensures the shoot runs efficiently without slowing down production.
Execution — On the day, I work independently and efficiently. I use professional-grade equipment suited to demanding conditions — from low light to dusty and humid environments. Drone photography adds an extra dimension, especially for large factory sites and construction projects.
Post-production — I edit the images to present your production environment at its best. Colours, lighting and details are refined to reflect reality — in industrial photography, authenticity matters more than artificial polish.
Where are industrial photos used?
Professional industrial images are a versatile investment. My clients typically use them in these contexts:
Proposals and tenders — Compelling images of your production facilities and completed projects can be the deciding factor in a bid. Photos demonstrate your capacity and expertise in concrete terms.
Annual reports and investor communications — High-quality images of your operations build confidence among stakeholders and investors.
Websites and digital marketing — Authentic images of your production environment set you apart from competitors who rely on stock photography.
Recruitment — Attractive images of the working environment and team in action help attract the best talent in your field.
Internal communications — Document project progress, new investments and team achievements with professional imagery.
Trade show and event materials — Striking industrial images on exhibition stands and in brochures make your company memorable.
Why hire a professional for industrial photography?
Photos taken on a phone or compact camera rarely do justice to an industrial environment. The challenges in industrial photography are exceptional: lighting ranges from dark halls to bright outdoor conditions, subjects are large and moving, and the environment places its own demands on equipment.
As a professional, I bring the drama and scale that an industrial setting deserves. I know how to highlight the details that make your processes unique and compose large-scale scenes into clear images where the viewer grasps the full scope of your operations.
The most important difference, however, is vision. I don't just document spaces — I build images that tell the story of your company and convince whoever sees them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use a drone in your shoots?
Yes, when it adds value to the shoot and conditions and permits allow. Aerial images are particularly suited to industrial photography, construction sites, property presentations and events. I hold EASA and Traficom approved drone pilot certificates (A1/A3 and A2) and handle all permit matters on your behalf.
Can photography and video be combined on the same day?
Yes, and I often recommend it. In hybrid shooting, both photos and video are captured on the same day, keeping the visual style consistent while saving you time and costs. This works particularly well for reference, brand and industrial photography.
What file formats do you deliver?
I deliver images in JPEG format, both optimised for web use (sRGB) and as high-resolution files suitable for print (AdobeRGB). Videos are delivered in MP4 format in Full HD or 4K resolution depending on the intended use.
How many photos will I receive?
The number of images depends on the type and scope of the shoot. A personal brand shoot typically produces 5–15 images, staff photography 1–3 images per person, and larger brand or corporate shoots from dozens to hundreds of images. We agree on the specifics during our initial conversation.
How should we prepare for the shoot?
I always provide clear preparation guidelines before the shoot day. For portrait and brand photography, you receive tips on clothing and space preparation. For industrial photography, I review safety requirements in advance. You don't need to worry about the details — I guide the entire process.
Will the photography disrupt work or the event?
No. I always work as unobtrusively as possible. For corporate photography, I plan the schedule so the shoot doesn't disrupt normal operations. At events, I move through the audience unobtrusively. In industrial environments, I photograph on production's terms.
How do I book a shoot?
Get in touch by email, WhatsApp or the contact form. Briefly describe what kind of photography you need and when, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. The initial consultation and quote are always free of charge.
Is post-production included in the price?
Yes. All my photography services include professional post-production — colour correction, light and shadow adjustments and image finishing. In product photography and brand photography, post-production may be more extensive, such as background replacement or advanced retouching, and this is reflected in the pricing.
How quickly are the photos ready?
Edited images are typically delivered within one week of the shoot. For event photography, a selection of images can be delivered for social media use the same evening. In urgent cases, such as an approaching tender or publication deadline, expedited delivery is possible.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on the type of shoot, its scope and the amount of post-production. For example, an individual portrait session at the studio is priced as a package, while larger brand photography and industrial photography projects are priced on a project basis. Request a quote — tell me what you need and I'll put together a clear proposal.
Do you shoot outside Oulu?
Yes. You can book me for shoots anywhere in Finland. For shoots outside Oulu, travel and accommodation costs are added to the price. For product photography, products can also be sent to the studio by post.
What if the weather is bad on the shoot day?
For drone photography and outdoor shoots, we always agree on a backup date in advance. Safety and image quality are never compromised because of weather. Studio sessions and indoor shoots are naturally unaffected by the weather.
Do you shoot at the company's premises or in the studio?
Both options work. Brand, staff and corporate photography are often carried out at the company's own premises, bringing the authentic working environment into the images. Individual portrait sessions and product photography are typically done at my studio in Maikkula, Oulu. We can also combine studio and location photography on the same day.
Do we get full usage rights?
Yes. You receive broad usage rights for your company's marketing and communications use in accordance with the agreed terms.
