Marketing photography for spaces and properties in Oulu

I photograph commercial premises, offices, hotels, construction projects and high-value properties for sale so that the character and purpose of each space come through. When needed, photos, video and drone footage are combined in the same production.

A good photo of a space tells the viewer what the space is for and what it is like to be in. A company renting out a meeting room looks at how many people fit around the table and whether daylight reaches the room. A home buyer looks at the kitchen surfaces, the bathroom and the view from the window. I plan the photos around who will look at them and what they want to know about the property.

Real estate and interior photography in Oulu

I photograph spaces with daylight and their own lighting. In post-production I straighten vertical lines and keep colours natural, so walls do not lean in the picture and white stays white. Outside Oulu I have photographed sites in Tyrnävä and Iso-Syöte, among others.

What I photograph

Commercial premises and offices. Offices, meeting rooms, shops, restaurants and event venues for leasing and marketing. For Osuuskauppa Arina I photographed the downstairs of Amarillo set up as an event venue, and for Rinnekoti their new small group homes.

Hotels. Rooms, lobbies, restaurants and meeting rooms for booking sites, websites and brochures. For KIDE hotel by Iso-Syöte I shot the advertising photos and a welcome video before the hotel opened.

Construction projects. Finished buildings as reference photos for the contractor, the architect or a materials supplier. For Tevella I photographed the learning spaces of the new Kirkkomännikkö daycare centre in Tyrnävä, and for ABL-laatat the bathrooms at Lapland Hotels Oulu.

High-value properties for sale. Homes, show apartments and commercial properties, where the buyer looks at the photos before booking a viewing. For Skanska Kodit I shot photos, a presentation video and two short social media videos of apartment A92 in the Plaanatorni tower in Oulu.

Photos, video and aerials in one visit

When a property needs several kinds of material, it is worth shooting them at once. The Plaanatorni presentation video, short videos and photos were all made on the same day, and the material fits together because the light and the space were the same.

An aerial photo shows what interior photos cannot: the location, the size of the plot, parking and the surroundings. I am a certified drone pilot (EASA A1/A3 and A2) and I take care of the flight permits. Read more about drone photography and video production.

How a shoot works

Planning. We go through the property, how many spaces to photograph and where the photos will be used: a rental listing, a website, a brochure or a sale. The conversation and the quote are free.

Preparation. You get a short list of how to prepare the spaces. We time the shoot around the light and so that it does not disturb customers or residents.

The shoot. I photograph each space from several directions and pick the angles that show its size and purpose. Five meeting rooms, for example, take about two to three hours on site.

Editing and delivery. You see the whole set in a proof gallery. The finished photos arrive as a download link, usually within a week, both optimised for the web and in high resolution.

A larger production in the same visit: photos, a presentation video, short videos for social media and drone aerials. The price depends on the size of the property and the material you need. Tell me about the property and how you will use the material, and I will send a quote.

For properties outside Oulu, travel costs are added.

Frequently asked questions about real estate photography

What does real estate photography cost?

The price depends on how many spaces are photographed, how many finished photos you need and whether video or aerials are included. The price section on this page shows the starting price for one visit, and you get an exact figure in a quote. The first conversation and the quote are free.

  • Number of spaces: One office is quicker to photograph than a hotel or a whole commercial building.
  • Video and aerials: They lengthen the shoot day and add editing work.
  • Location: Outside Oulu, travel costs are added to the price.

How should the spaces be prepared for the shoot?

Clear the tables and worktops, put loose items out of sight and check that every light works. Before the shoot you get a short list that you can go through the day before.

  • Lights: Replace any dead bulbs and keep every light on during the shoot.
  • Surfaces: Leave only what belongs to how the space is used, such as a water jug and glasses in a meeting room.
  • People: If you want customers or staff in the photos, we agree on it in advance.

Can video and aerials be shot in the same visit?

Yes, and it is worth doing, because the light and the space are then the same across all the material. I plan the photos, the video and the flights as one shoot day and take care of the drone permits for you. I hold the A1/A3 and A2 remote pilot competency certificates approved by EASA and Traficom.

When do I get the photos?

After the shoot you see the whole set in a proof gallery. The finished photos arrive as a download link, usually within a week of the shoot, and if you need them sooner for a rental listing, for example, we agree on it in advance.

  • Editing: I straighten vertical lines and keep colours natural.
  • Files: JPEG both optimised for the web (sRGB) and in high resolution (AdobeRGB).
  • Video: The video schedule is agreed at the quote stage, because editing time follows the amount of material.

Can I pass the photos on to an estate agent, architect or tenant?

The photos are licensed for the client's own marketing and communications, and passing them on to a third party is agreed separately. Tell me at the quote stage who needs the photos, and the usage rights are written to cover them. That way the contractor, the architect and a materials supplier can all use the same set.
